1955

In 1955 the Whitechapel Gallery showed a retrospective of Mondrian paintings. The accompanying Catalogue had just two colour reproductions, the cover and an early painting of a flower. the other catalogue entries were all produced in black and white. The four works created were made referring only to these black and white reproductions using a collection of 1980’s Phillips printer ribbon. The double, triple and quadruple exposure refers to the common printing error of mis-registration.
